The Louisiana State Police and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office continue to search for 18-year-old Ryan Pourciau who is accused of shooting and fatally wounding his ex-girlfriend’s mother yesterday morning.
According to investigators, 39-year-April Vanderlinden was shot outside her home on Brookfield Drive around 7:40am Tuesday morning.
Neighbors say they heard yelling at the victim’s home, then frantic cries for help; followed by gunfire, according to WGNO.
Ponchatoula High School was put on lock down after the murder and police advised that Pourciau was at school on Monday.
According to reports the victim had recently obtained a restraining order against the suspect ordering him to stay the hell away from her daughter identified as Haley Vanderlinden by the Hammond Star.
Policeconfirmed that, Pourciau was arrested last month on child pornography charges, although it is unclear if that is in any way related to this incident.
One of many of the suspect’s most recent and troubling Facebook post ask, “What’s a great way to slow down someone’s heart rate?”
Overnight investigators used helicopters with thermal imaging device in an effort to locate the suspect.
