According to witnesses a white female entered the store around 6:45pm and went into the restroom. A short time later she emerged wearing a bandanna covering her face and had her shirt sleeve pulled down over her hand which made it appear as if she had a weapon. She demanded money from the store’s register. Employees complied and opened the store register and safe. The suspect took the cash along with a purse belonging to one of the employees which was sitting in the back of the store.
While the robbery was occurring, another employee ran out the front of the store and called the Sheriff’s Dept. That employee also blocked the door in an attempt to keep the suspect from leaving, but she ran out the back door when she realized the front door was blocked. One of the employees chased her out the back door and into a nearby AT&T store, where she ran into the bathroom.
Responding police officers were able to capture the suspect and recover the money taken in the robbery. Officers did not find a weapon on the suspect, who later advised that she did not have a weapon, only attempted to make it appear as if she did.
Through further investigation it was revealed that the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle which belonged to a previous acquaintance of hers and was taken several months prior.

Pressley was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the following charges:
