Two Louisiana men charged with child porn
Two Houma men have been charged in separate incidents for possessing pornography involving juveniles, according to a news release from the office of Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
Alex Gutierrez, 28, of the 100 block of Westwood Drive was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail on 20 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles.
Also arrested Wednesday and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail was 32-year-old Wilmer D. Ramos of the 400 block of Triple Court. Ramos was charged with one count of possessing pornography involving juveniles.
Both arrests are the result of a joint investigation involving the Louisiana Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
Gutierrez and Ramos are charged with violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. If convicted, they could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.
