Seth Fontenot released from jail
Seth Fontenot was released from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center shortly after 1 p.m. today escorted by his mother.
The 18-year-old UL Freshman has been in jail since February 10th, charged with one count of first-degree murder and to two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Fontenot’s bond was set late last week after a Lafayette Parish Grand Jury indicted him on the aboved mention charges.
Earlier today, Fontenot’s attorney entered pleas of not guilty on all three counts before 15th Judicial District Court before Judge Kristian Earles. Fontenot was not present in the courtroom.
According to Chris Welty with KATC, “His family pulled a car up to the jail to whisk him away. As they walked out his mom held his arm and had tears in her eyes.”
