Man wanted on domestic abuse battery warrant busted with some crack

Who Got Busted?

Charles Jamie HillOfficers responded to 1611 Dudley Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers discovered a female victim suffering from a head injury. An ambulance was called to assist the victim while officers looked for the suspect, Charles Jamie Hill, who had fled the area. While on scene, officers observed damages inside of the home caused by Hill during the disturbance. The victim advised officers that she had to run from her home to escape the attack from Hill. The victim refused to be transported by ambulance but was given a ride by a friend to the emergency room where she was treated and released. Warrants for the arrest of Charles Jamie Hill were then issued for 2nd degree battery, domestic abuse battery with injuries, and criminal damage to property.

The Eunice Police Department received information that Charles Jamie Hill was at 1611 Dudley Street. Officers then responded to the address to arrest Hill on the outstanding warrants. Upon arrival the victim from the domestic violence incident on February 13, 2013 confirmed that the suspect was inside the house. She then gave permission to search the premises and Hill was located in the bedroom. He was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants. Hill was also in possession of crack cocaine, $3100.00 cash, drug paraphernalia, and had been using narcotics in the presence of persons under 17 years of age while at the Dudley Street residence. A customized 2002 GMC Yukon was on the premises and was searched. Officers located more cocaine from inside of the Yukon. During the investigation officers learned that Hill recently purchased the Yukon for cash. The location of the Dudley Street drug arrest was also within a drug free zone area.

Hill appeared before 27th Judicial District Judge Alonzo Harris this morning (3/12/13) and Judge Harris ordered Hill to be held pending formal application for bond. (No Bond).
