Busted In Acadiana

Lafayette, LA – On March 15, 2013, at approximately 1:45 am, Lafayette Police responded to the intersection of East Kaliste Saloom Road and the SW Evangeline Thruway regarding a major crash. Witnesses tell traffic investigators that a Ford truck traveling south on the Evangeline Thruway collided with a Chevrolet car turning left from East Kaliste Saloom Road onto the SE Evangeline Thruway. The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck received moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The identity of the victim in the crash is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.
