Detectives arrived on scene and questioned Green. Green told deputies he and the victim were in a verbal argument which turned into a physical altercation. Green told detectives he stabbed the victim with a fork during the fight. Detectives recovered the fork in front of a Carol Street residence where the entire incident occurred, and also discovered a kitchen knife with a blade measuring approximately eight inches in length.
Through investigation, detectives learned there had been two separate physical altercations between the two men that day. During the first, Green allegedly used the fork to stab the victim twice near his stomach causing only minor lacerations. Then nearly three hours later, detectives learned Green returned to the Carol Street residence and allegedly smashed the windshield of the victim’s vehicle. The victim had begun to approach Green at that time, but Green then produced a knife and allegedly used it to slash the victim’s wrist and stab him in the chest.
When questioned about the knife, Green refused to cooperate further with the investigation. He was arrested and charged with aggravated second degree battery and simple criminal damage to property. He was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he is currently being held in lieu of $100,500 bond as set by Judge Ashly Bruce Simpson.
