Bond set for Duson man accused of sex with a 9-year-old relative
Bond was set at $75,00 earlier today for an area man accused of having sex with a 9-year-old relative and photographing it.
Police say they were alerted to photographs on the suspect’s phone of himself engaging in sexual conduct with a 9-year-old relative.
The mother of the child reportedly came upon the photographs while lawfully viewing McLaren’s cellular phone.
Deputies were able to view the photographs and interview the victim which supported the allegations of aggravated incest.
The investigation continues and additional charges against McLaren are likely.
McLaren remains jailed in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the 1st floor, likely in protective custody.
