Busted In Acadiana

Joseph Romero Sr. who became an internet superstar for all the wrong reasons last year is back behind bars.

Rewind to May of last year where Romero was accused of stealing a specialized wheelchair from KOA campground in Scott valued at $9,500 belonging to a young lady with cerebral palsy.

Romero was quickly dubbed the, “Wheelchair Bandit”

Well looks like Romero has yet another run in with the law.

Yesterday Romero was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary, unauthorized use of a moveable, aggravated flight from an officer and four fugitive warrants.
