This case smells so much like that of Brant Exley who went missing from Abbeville, Louisiana after allegedly being threatened but missed court on carnal knowledge charges. Sure!
According to Chelsea Hoffman with Gather.com, Des Moines woman Jessica Pratt has been located in New Orleans after vanishing shortly before the end of Mardi Gras. This is a strange case, but it’s fortunate that it ended on a far more positive note than other disappearances in the news. However, this case is sparking plenty of questions on social networking sites, and the questions are valid concerning whether or not Jessica Janai Pratt was ever truly missing in the first place.
There aren’t a lot of details being shared yet, but it’s fortunate that Jessica Pratt was located safe in New Orleans. However, her case is still a mystery. She left behind children in Des Moines to work in gentleman’s clubs in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras, but reportedly never made it to work. There are also reports of her fighting with her friends shortly before vanishing. So what happened? Where did she go? Where was she over the span of the past several days that she’s been missing.
Furthermore, what about all the donations given to her family during the course of the search for her? If she wasn’t in danger (and it hasn’t been confirmed one way or the other yet), what happens to all of that money? Also, why is the activity on the community Facebook page maintained by the family so strange and secretive all of a sudden?
There are, as usual, more questions than answers. So hopefully more details are released in time.
