Carencro High student accused of sexual battery on school campus
On February 18, 2013, the Carencro Police Department was contacted by the mother of a 15-year-old female student and informed that her daughter was the victim of a sexual battery according to KLFY TV 10.
Officers conducted interviews with the victim and the 15-year-old male suspect, who was also a student at Carencro High School.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the suspect made contact with the victim while on campus and entered into an unsolicited sexually inappropriate conversation. That the victim informed the suspect that his sexual behavior was unwanted and she attempted to walk away. As the victim attempted to walk away, the suspect physically touched the victim in an inappropriate sexual manner without the victims consent.
The 15-year-old student was arrested and charged with sexual battery and released on a custodial agreement to his parents.
Case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
