Busted In Acadiana

A Lafayette man originally charged with attempted aggravated rape of a child under the age 12 in 2011 is back behind bars.

Carl J. Delhomme of Lafayette was re-booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center days ago and is being held for court.

Delhomme was arrested in 2011 after the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office did a press release indicating:

On October 25th 2011 Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Carl J Delhomme for the charge of Attempted Aggravated Rape which occurred in Lafayette Parish in March of 2011. Carl J Delhomme is aware Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office are looking for him and it is believed he might flee Lafayette Parish. Anyone with any information on Carl J Delhomme’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office at  (337) 236-5895 or Crime Stoppers at  (337) 232-8477. 

 Delhomme took an open court plea deal in January on one count of indecent behaviour with a juvenile.
