On January 13 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to E. Tank Farm Road in Lake Charles in reference to a complaint regarding a man sleeping in his car parked outside of a home.
Upon arrival deputies found the driver of the car, Robert G. Magee, 46, 4998 FM 2693, New Waverly, Texas, passed out in the driver’s seat of the car. When deputies spoke with Magee, they detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath, along with slurred speech. Magee was asked to perform a standard field sobriety test, but he refused.
Magee, who was convicted of DWI 3rdin 2009, was booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with DWI 4th; and driving under suspension.
Judge Ron Ware set Magee’s bond at $20,500.
