According to the police radio logs, the juvenile subjects were “detained at gunpoint” after they were allegedly burglarizing the mail room building of the Sunrise Apartments at 821 South Beulah Street.
Eunice police said that one juvenile, 15, was in possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, and a 32 caliber revolver.
Because one of the suspects was armed, an officer drew his firearm on the suspects until assistance arrived on the scene, according to Eunice Police.
The juveniles were then turned over to the custody of their parents while the juvenile division investigated the incident.
On Friday, the 15-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, violation of the uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance law, illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile and possession of a firearm in the presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances.
The teen was released to his parents pending a juvenile court date.
Eunice Police said the incident is still under investigation by the juvenile division. However, Police said that the juveniles did not gain entry to the apartment complex office.
