According to reports,  a 31-year-old Lafayette parish mother sent her child to school with a loaded sock to defend herself against a pack of bullies.

Unlike prison retailiation where, “soap in a sock” is one of the weapons of choice, this mother is accused of stuffing a sock with four golf balls and instructing her daughter to use it to retaliate against her bullies.

It is unclear how the loaded sock was discovered or if the child had the opportunity to use it at school on any of her bullies.

The mother, whose identity is being withheld to protect her child’s identity, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and issued a summons rather than being booked into the parish jail.
