Earlier today we reported that Brant Exley, the 19-year-old who went missing from Abbeville, Louisiana on January 6th has been located in Morgantown, West Virginia.
We have since learned he was allegely sleeping in his truck in a Walmart parking lot.
We also revealed that Exley was scheduled to appear in court this morning on one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling in Assumption Parish, however failed to appear and warrants were issued for his arrest.
Shortly after our posting, the “Finding My Son Brant Exley” Facebook page fired off the following Facebook status (see screenshot below).
We screen captured the image above and shared on our Facebook page. The post was removed a short time later by whomever was the administrator of the page.
Within minutes of that we recieved threatening Facebook messages (see one below) from a woman who identified herself as Exley’s God mother.
We began to get suspicious of Exley’s disappearance in the last few days as page administrators released various things include a voicemail message allegedly left by Exley to his father saying a bomb was in the house. What purpose would such a voicemail serve in finding their missing loved one?
Stay tuned as we untangle those behind this possible missing persons scam that attempted to draw community support around the state.
