Louisiana teacher arrested for more sex with more students
A Tioga High School teacher, who was previously in custody on sex charges last month, was arrested Tuesday on additional charges.
After further investigation, detectives say they arrested Heather Michelle Cooksey for two more counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, four counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student, two counts of sexual battery by fondling and one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
On Dec. 19, 2012, detectives arrested Cooksey of 128 Arlington Dr. in Pineville and charged her with two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile for inappropriate sexual behavior with a student from the school.
On Tuesday, Cooksey was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention center and later released on a $35,000 bond. Investigators say the case is still open and the incident is still under investigation.
