Busted In Acadiana

A 42-year-old Lake Arthur man has been charged with sexual battery of a juvenile, authorities said.

Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Christopher Ivey said Byron Landry, 711 1/2 Calcasieu Ave., was arrested Wednesday night following a month-long investigation.

“In early December, detectives began an investigation an alleged sexual battery of a juvenile,” Ivey said in a news release. “During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Landry had inappropriate contact with a 4-year-old.”

Landry’s bond was set at $400,000.
