Lafayette thug accused of beating his female roommate
According to booking records, Adam Batiste of Lafayette has been charges with attempted murder.
Police say their initial investigations suggest Batiste beat his female roommate for unknown reasons at around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday near Morning Glory Square.
While investigations don’t know the extent of the relationship between Batiste and the victim, they say she has severe bruising and is in critical condition at a local hospital.
Batiste was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and charged with attempted second degree murder and is being held on $125,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation.
