Busted In Acadiana

According to KATC, a work release trustee who escaped from his work detail is still at large. Deputies say the suspect, 21-year-old Bryce Jackson, may still be in the Cecilia area. He was in jail on simple burglary and theft charges.

St. Martin Parish Schools Superintendent Richard Lavergne says schools in Cecilia were placed on soft lockdown this afternoon, but he says all students were dismissed on time without incident.
