Busted In Acadiana

A motorcyclist died in a crash on the overpass on Ambassador Caffery near Cameron St.

According to Lafayette Police, the motorcyclist ran into the back of a truck which witnesses have described as a white Ford F-150 that was stopped in the right lane. Another motorcyclist was able to lay down his bike to avoid hitting the truck.

Sources at the scene tell us one cylclist was on fire and that an unidentified young woman came to his rescue and extinguished the fire. Hat tip to the brave woman!

The motorcyclists name was not released pending notification of family.
