According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “Clarence “Butch” Fontenot and Abdul Levier, both employees with the St. Landry Parish School System have been booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail and are facing drug charges.”
Sheriff Guidroz stated, “On January 17, 2013, St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Enforcement Team received an anonymous tip that there were vehicles parked on the school campus of North Central High School containing illegal narcotics.”
Sheriff Guidroz said, “Our detectives, along with the school administrators, proceeded to conduct a search throughout the school. Our K9 handler conducted open air sniffs around several groups of vehicles parked in the school parking lot. One of our K9’s alerted on 2 vehicles owned by the aforementioned individuals.”
“During the search of Levier’s vehicle, detectives located several marijuana seeds and a marijuana stem. Detectives than searched Fontenot’s vehicle and located a clear plastic bag containing marijuana and three partially smoked cigarettes containing marijuana. Levier and Fontenot were both charged with possession of marijuana and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone,” Guidroz added.
