Arrest made in Arnould Boulevard robbery
Lafayette Police have made an arrest in connection with a robbery on Arnould Boulevard that occurred on Friday.
Early this morning, Lonnie Poydras, turned himself in to police without incident. Poydras was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correction Center on the warrant for First Degree Robbery.
On January 18, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of Arnould Boulevard regarding a robbery. According to the victims, the suspect entered the business wearing a hoodie with his face covered and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was given to the suspect and the suspect then fled the area. The suspect never displayed a weapon, but one of his hands’s remained in his pocket during the robbery.
