Busted In Acadiana

An Abbeville man who resides in the 500 block of Chevis St. is behind bars accused of terrorism.

According to booking recordings, 29-year-old Adam Wade Woodson was booking into the Vermillion Parish Correctional Center after he he allegedly made threats against a school administrator.

Woodson’s alleged actions caused Herod Elementary School in Abbeville to be placed on lockdown earlier today.

Once the threat was neutralizes, Abbeville Police Chief Lt. David Hardy says that an officer was placed on campus for the remainder of the day.

Woodson’s bond has been set at $50,000.
