Opelousas man accused of robbing a bank
Baton Rouge police have arrested a 29-year-old Opelousas man accused of robbing a bank.
Karl Shelvin allegedly walked into the State Bank and Trust on Florida St. at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday with a note demanding money.
McKneely says Shelvin grabbed the money and ran away from the bank, but police caught him a short time later.
Shelvin was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count of simple robbery.
It was unclear whether Shelvin has an attorney.
