According to WDSU, a man wanted by deputies in Terrebonne Parish bit and injured a deputy Sunday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to a call of a wanted man in the area in the 8200 Grand Caillou Road in Dulac.
When deputies arrived, they found Bryce Broussard on a boat docked at the bayou.
While deputies attempted to arrest Broussard, the Sheriff’s Office said, Brousard bit a deputy on the shoulder badly enough for the deputy to receive medical treatment at a local hospital.
Broussard was eventually arrested after a deputy used a Taser to subdue him.
Broussard was charged with resisting by violence, battery on a police officer with injury and battery on a police officer. He was also charged with outstanding warrants on charges of failure to appear for child support, failure to appear for criminal trespass and failure to appear for improper equipment.
