According to The Advocate two men were arrested this week and accused of soliciting sex via the Internet from people they believed to be young girls, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday morning.
East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s detectives with the office’s internet crimes against children unit arrested James Hargroder, 64, 5421 S. Woodchase Court, Baton Rouge, and Shawn Orillion, 45, 13348 Dot Lee Drive, Denham Springs. The two men were booked into Parish Prison on one count each of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor. Orillion also was booked on a count of pornography involving juveniles.
Hargroder is accused of communicating with a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, but turned out to be a detective with the crimes against children unit, Sheriff’s spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said.
Hargroder allegedly sent sexually explicit messages and a sexually explicit video of himself to the teen in July, Hicks said. The man also sent two videos of himself committing lewd and sexually explicit acts, she said.
Detectives arrested Hargorder at his home early Wednesday.
Orillion was arrested at his home Monday and is accused of communicating with a person he believed was a 13-year-old girl, Hicks said.
Orillion allegedly sent sexually explicit messages and a video of himself committing lewd and sexually explicit acts to the teen in August and September, Hicks said, and arranged to meet with the girl.
While searching Orillion’s home, detectives found child pornography, Hicks said.
Other law enforcement agencies, including the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, Franklin Police Department, Louisiana State Police and Homeland Security investigators helped the Sheriff’s Office with its investigation into Orillion and Hargroder.
