According to reports, a Beauregard Parish School Board employee was arrested Thursday for the for distribution of child pornography.
Investigators assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, and the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at the residence of 65-year-old Robert McNamee of DeRidder.
The warrant was the result of an Operation Child Watch investigation initiated by State Police detectives involving child pornography on McNamee’s computer.
A search of McNamee’s computer revealed the presence of images of sexually abused children. McNamee was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail.
If convicted, McNamee faces up to a $10,000 fine and up to ten years in prison without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
McNamee was employed as a junior high school band director at the time of his arrest.
