A 32-year-old Lake Charles man has been charged with simple burglary, simple criminal damage to property and theft over $1,500, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said John A. Domino, 2404 Demarest St., is accused of stealing $8,000 worth of copper wire from a warehouse at the Conoco plant in Westlake.
“During a search of Domino’s residence, detectives located and recovered the stolen copper in the backyard,” Myers said. “When questioned by detectives, he confirmed he stole the copper wire.”
Judge Kent Savoie set Domino’s bond at $12,500.
