Busted In Acadiana

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office wants your help to find a suspect that they say shot two people in a car Sunday, leaving them both in critical condition.

Deserie Antonio Johnson, 31, is wanted on two counts of attempted second degree murder.

Police reports say Johnson was in a vehicle tailing another car traveling slowly, wesbound on Central Avenue. The first car pulled over to let Johnson’s car pass but he instead pulled over too.

Police say Johnson got out of his car, approached the occupants of the other vehicle, engaged in an argument and shot both passengers. Johnson fled, leaving the two victms at the scene.

It is possible that Johnson may have been impaired at the time the incident occurred.    The investigation is on-going at this time. The victims were able to identify Johnson as the shooter.  Both victims are reported in critical condition, however are expected to live. A warrant has been issued for Johnson’s arrest.  He is wanted on two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
